Our community lives from spam messages from affected users. Therefore a request to you: If you have received a fraudulent phone call, or a strange text message on your smartphone, or more often, a spam email, please write a short comment here to inform other people. The detectspam.com database contains over 3 million of these complaints about email addresses, spam servers and phone numbers. The following complaints have recently been added to our database.

Telephone fraud is when someone calls you and tries to convince you to give out your personal information with the objective to steal or solicit money from you. The first and the most important way to protect yourself is never share your personal information with unknown callers. That means to not give out your social security number, your name, address, or email.

There are many smartphone apps out there that will answer your smartphone when a spam caller calls. The downside is that you have to have the smartphone on and it can be a drain on your battery. We put a Bluetooth number detector on our website that you can use for free. If you are using a smartphone, use our app as it will work in the background to stop spam calls from being forwarded to you. For both android and iPhone users, we have an app available in the Google Play Store and Apple's App Store to configure your smartphone to forward unwanted calls (upper right-hand corner of this page) f

If you have received an unsolicited phone call or you just come across a phone number you do not know more about, maybe you are not the only one. You can search the phone number and see the comments from other people. If there are no comments about the searched phone number yet, please be the first to leave one. That will help other people. Just enter the number that’s calling you, share your experience with those nuisance calls and we will tell you who they are and how to stop these calls. It’s that easy!
